The Inheritance of Silence
How family secrecy and institutional deference taught a generation to notice the distance between the official story and lived experience.
We inherited the silence. We choose the truth.
Generation Redacted documents what Gen X witnessed, what families and institutions concealed, and what we understand differently now. Evidence over allegiance. Memory with receipts.
01 / THE POSITION
Authority and truth were never the same thing. We grew up around closed doors, missing context, official denials, and subjects adults would not discuss honestly. That inheritance did not make us keepers of their secrets. It made us suspicious of silence.
This is a record of what was seen, what was hidden, and what the evidence can establish now. No party line. No outrage mill. No suspicion presented as proof.
